Eight grade 5 and 6 students represented East Elementary at BGRSD’s Momentum 2016 Youth Leadership Conference held at Leduc Composite High School Friday April 22.  After a DancePlay Keynote in the morning, students broke out into a variety of sessions.  Yoga, Self-care, Leadership in School, Healthy Relationships, Fitness all were examples of sessions offered for the grades 3 – 12 students in attendance.  In the afternoon, we all learned about the November Project, a fitness organization, from the Edmonton founder Oiler Andrew Ference and were able to enjoy contestants who entered in last fall’s “Blackgold’s Got Talent”!  It was a great day!
