The Black Gold School Division and the City of Leduc have partnered to provide convenient venues for residents by creating new spaces to come together to volunteer, learn skills, be physically active, and build a strong, healthy and vibrant community.
How the Joint Use Agreement works:
- Community members can book spaces in local schools (e.g., gymnasiums, classrooms, multi-use fields)
- The community can also book spaces in City facilities (e.g., arena, aquatic centre, ball diamonds, multi-use fields)
- Schools can book spaces in City facilities
“This agreement will make it easier and more affordable for residents, non-profit groups and schools to reserve spaces throughout our community,” said City of Leduc Mayor Bob Young. “By working together with the Black Gold School Division, we’ve provided an opportunity for us all to make better use of the facilities and amenity spaces that already exist in our city.”
“We are excited to be continuing our partnership with the City of Leduc on this agreement,” added Bill Romanchuk, Superintendent of Schools for the Black Gold School Division. “Not only does this encourage our students to lead healthy lifestyles, but it also benefits the community as a whole as we grow together.”
