Happy New Year Everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas Break and that you are rested up and ready to Rock, and when I say “Rock”, I am referring to the exciting event we have happening this week at East Elementary. As a way to get our school rolling in 2016, we have invited the Rock the Rings indoor curling group to join us and do some indoor curling with our students this Thursday and Friday. I know the students will really enjoy this event and if you want to drop by the school and take a look, please feel free to do so.
I would also like to remind parents in Grade 4,5, and 6 that the yearly Accountability Pillar Survey from Alberta Education will be sent out to parents from Mid-January to the end of February. I encourage you all to take the time to fill out the survey, as this is our “School Report Card” that is shared with Alberta Education and Black Gold Regional Schools. This is an opportunity for you to comment and share your thoughts about East Elementary and our outstanding school community.
