Good Day East Families!

Spring is in the air, the days are getting longer, and the geese are back!  I know many people enjoy all the seasons in Alberta, even winter, but my favorite for sure is summer.  Over the last few years, I tried to get back into snowboarding again to find something that I enjoy to do in the winter, but for me, summer is still the best.  Walking outside with a t-shirt and shorts on, playing some ball, and having a bbq are just some of the things that make summer great.  The warm weather and longer days just seem to make life better and I often wonder what it would be like to live in a region where the weather is warm all year long.  My question is, would I appreciate summer as much without having to live in the cold winters? I believe this thought can be related to many things in our lives.  Can we truly appreciate what we have without experiencing life without some of those things? Can you truly appreciate having a job, a home, food on your table, without first experiencing life without it? I think it is important for all of us to reflect on these questions and be grateful for the one thing we all have in common, our children. Life has its ups and downs, success and failures, but through all of that we need to ensure that we are grateful for who matters most and cherish those people. Have a wonderful spring break, get outside, and enjoy the weather!
