This month we will be having our Remembrance Day ceremony on November 9th, at 10:30AM and I invite all of you to join us. The purpose of Remembrance Day is to honor all of those individuals who served, and continue to serve, our great country and thank them for their sacrifices. Please set aside some time on the 9th to join our students and staff for this important event.
I also like to think of November as a good time for reflection and thinking about the things we value. We have a family tradition at our house on Sunday nights where everyone crawls into the “Big bed” and watches one of dad’s “Nerd shows” together. When this tradition started, fitting an adult and two boys on a bed wasn’t a very big deal, and the wrestling at commercial breaks didn’t really bother me too much. Now, with a 15 year old and 12 year old, the bed seems to have shrunk and the wrestling is more like an MMA match, with me fighting for survival! Regardless of the broken lamps, spilled water glasses, and damaged bed frame, I value that time I get to spend with my boys on those Sundays. I think that as I get older and my kids move out, this is something that I will always remember, so take some time to remember the important things this month.
Have a great November and see you around the school!
