Dear Parents/Guardians,
January is almost done and it was a busy month at East Elementary. This past month presented some significant challenges, since we had many of our students and staff away due to illness. It is during challenging times like these that one can get a clear look at the character of an organization. I am pleased to say that the past few weeks demonstrated just how resilient the students at East Elementary are and what a great team our school has. We had many of our staff members give up their own time to cover other classes and assist at recess or breaks to ensure that the school day ran as smoothly as possible. In addition, I would like to recognize the team work of our senior administrators and thank Mr. Monty, one of our Associate Superintendents, who joined us to teach for an afternoon when we were short handed. It certainly was appreciated! Team work like this is the cornerstone of successful schools and I would like to say thank you to all of our staff for helping out and ensuring that we continue to provide the best learning environment possible for our students. Have a wonderful February!
Sincerely,
Mr. Chomlak
