Happy New Year Everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas Break. The students had many exciting stories about their holidays, and the amazing gifts they received, as they entered the school on Monday. I am glad everyone had a fun break and that we are all ready to get back to work!
At the end of the month, we will be sending out our first set of report cards using Power Teacher Pro. Since this is our first report card with this system, we are not entirely certain what they will look like or how the process will go, so I thank you in advance for your understanding. I am sure many of you have downloaded the Power School app, which is a great way to monitor your child’s progress throughout the year. If you have any concerns about your child’s assignments and progress, please feel free to contact their teacher at any time.
Also, in the upcoming weeks we will be administering the Accountability Pillar Survey. This is like our school “Report Card” and a chance for our students, staff, and parents to share just how awesome East Elementary is. The survey will be given to our grade 4, 5, and 6 students and teaching staff at the school. Parents will have information mailed to them and they will have the option to fill out the surveys online. Each household will receive instructions on how to do so along with a random access code in the package they receive in the mail. I encourage you to take the time to fill in a survey and share your reasons why East Elementary is the best!
