Christmas is right around the corner and we are busier than Santa’s elves!  Each year I can see the excitement slowly building in the students eyes as we get closer to Christmas break and it certainly is infectious.  I am sure you can all remember being a child and how December seemed to inch by while you waited for Christmas holidays.  It seemed to take forever to get to Christmas day and to the time when you could finally open your presents Christmas morning. Then, in a flash of paper and ribbons, it was all over and you could play with those new toys you were hoping for.

I find that as I’ve gotten older, I might actually be more like my dad than I thought.  I don’t get as excited as I used to for presents and I am definitely more excited about the amount of food I will eat.  I look forward to the days leading up to Christmas to be long and relaxing and spent with family and friends, because those special occasions just zip by too fast.  I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas break and a Happy New Year and be sure to spend lots of time with your loved ones.
