December is here and Christmas is upon us once again. This is my 18th year of teaching, and I can honestly say that every December is exciting. I look forward to our Christmas Concerts, our classroom Christmas parties, and our December fun day. I look forward to our students singing and acting on the stage and the inevitable mess ups that make the play so cute. I also look forward to watching the students in the school throughout the month. Their energy and excitement wears off on all of us and it helps us get into the Christmas spirit.
When I first started teaching, I used to write on a chalk board and we shared four old Apple IIE computers in the hall for all of the students. Many things have changed since then. Our schools feel so modern and are full of technology, but the excitement for Christmas and the joy in the children’s faces is still the same.
I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
